Friends and Family

Hi y’all!

As some of you may know, I’ve decided to run for a trustee position on the Round Rock ISD School Board and will be on the ballot this November. While this wasn’t originally on my fall to-do list, being on the board has been a goal of mine since my days in the classroom. I’m unbelievably excited about the opportunity to help build a fully functional board that truly cares for all 50,000 students in our district.

My website and social media will go live next week, but I wanted to reach out first to my closest friends and family to ask for your financial support. You all know me best—you know how deeply I love public schools, support our teachers, and fight for our students, all while holding those in power accountable. And you know that when I set my mind to something, I get things done. Running a campaign that spans 110 square miles, 59 schools, and three cities requires a lot of resources, but I promise you that I’m stretching every dollar as far as it can go.

I’m blown away by the love and support I’ve already received. Y’all know I’m not usually one for tears, but I’ve found myself getting emotional more than once from the kind words of friends, family, and especially former students. They sure know how to make an old lady cry! The next month and a half is going to be a wild ride. Let’s do this together!
