Putting People First. Growing a Texas That Works.

Hi, I'm Steven Rivas — a public-safety veteran, sixth-generation Texan, husband, and activist running for Texas House District 49 as a proud Democrat.

Representative Gina Hinojosa has been a strong voice for our schools and our city. As she takes her fight statewide, I'm stepping up to continue that work, making sure families, educators, and local communities have leaders who listen and act.

This campaign isn't about party politics. It's about solving real problems for real people. Here's the kind of leadership I'll bring to the Capitol:

• Stronger public schools, better pay and classroom resources for teachers, and students prepared for college or careers after graduation
• Support for farmers, ranchers, and small businesses, including restoring and strengthening the HUB program so local and minority- and women-owned businesses can compete for state contracts
• Protecting our home-rule city, so local voices, not distant politicians, shape our future
• Harnessing technology responsibly, protecting Texans' privacy and growing good-paying tech and cyber jobs here in Texas

If this sounds like the direction you believe in, I'm asking for your help. Every contribution, no matter the size, builds a campaign that gets results instead of headlines.

Let's do this together for District 49 and for Texas.

State law requires the Steven Rivas Campaign to use its best efforts to obtain and report the name, mailing address, occupation and employer of individuals whose contributions equal or exceed $1,010 per reporting period. Corporate contributions are prohibited by state law and cannot be accepted. There are no dollar limits on the amount of contribution. Contributions are not deductible for federal income tax purposes.
