Serving as your Austin ISD District 1 Trustee has been one of the greatest honors of my life. It has also been one of the most challenging periods in our district’s history. Together, we have navigated difficult budget decisions, declining enrollment, school consolidations, and the lasting effects of years of delayed decisions and underfunding in public education. These decisions have never been easy because behind every vote are students, families, educators, and communities whose futures are directly affected.

Throughout every challenge, I have remained committed to listening, asking tough questions, and advocating for equitable opportunities for every student. I have worked to ensure that every decision reflects our values while keeping students at the center of the conversation. There is still important work ahead, and I remain optimistic about what we can accomplish together.
