Local business owner and activist, Jonasu Wagstaff, formally announced her campaign to run for Justice of the Peace in Precinct 2 in the November 2018 election.
Precinct 2 of Williamson County encompasses areas of Liberty Hill, Leander, and Cedar Park that are south of Ronald Reagan Blvd.
The residents of Williamson County deserve honest and diligent representation from their elected officials. Jonasu Wagstaff is running to restore confidence in the position of Justice of the Peace as our county grows exponentially.
An Environmental Health and Safety professional and business owner, this is Jonasu Wagstaff’s first run in public office. The citizens of Williamson County see the need for a more progressive approach to justice as the demographics of our community change.
Jonasu Wagstaff believes that justice entails a community based approach that does not endeavor to generate revenue on the backs of hardworking Americans. Jonasu Wagstaff believes in the children of Williamson County and will work toward ending the school to prison pipeline.
Jonasu Wagstaff is a wife, mother, and grandmother who is a member of Open Cathedral Church in Leander. She is also a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma by blood quantum, a staunch advocate of women’s rights, and a warrior Mom to a special needs child.
