The Senators’ districts encompass urban and rural communities across the state, representing more than 11 million Texans. The 12 current members are Chair Carol Alvarado (Houston), Vice Chair Nathan Johnson (Dallas), Sen. César Blanco (El Paso), Sen. Molly Cook (Houston), Sen. Sarah Eckhardt (Austin), Sen. Roland Gutierrez (San Antonio), Sen. Juan “Chuy” Hinojosa (McAllen), Sen. José Menéndez (San Antonio), Sen. Borris Miles (Houston), Sen. Taylor Rehmet (Fort Worth), Sen.
