I am running for Re-Election for Place 3 on the Manor ISD School Board! I’m overwhelmed and humbled by the outreach and support of many ready to help and campaign with me!
During my time serving our community, I am proud to say I was one the founding members of the Manor School House Foundation, where we have given over $700,000.00 in teacher innovation grants to our outstanding Manor ISD educators.
*I have been voted in by Trustees from across the state to lead as President of Statewide organization, MASBA. It is my honor to have my colleagues see a leader in me to truly make in meaningful and impactful difference to close achievement gaps, support our Trustees and help scholars with yr after yr with scholarships. Most recently, one of our own received a $5k scholarship. We have partnered with our brothers and sister of the TX Caucus of Black School Board Members, Texas Association of School Boards , Central Texas School Boards Association and we continue to work on amplifying our voices for Public Ed.
*My passion as a public servant is not just local. I have walked the capital and talked to our legislatures and even testified for more funding for public Ed and shared Manor ISD story so legislators better understand the need. I was at the forefront in advocating for Ethnic studies until finally it was approved, which then opened doors for all Ethnic studies Teks. I will continue to advocate for our educators, scholars and community.
