Conley Guerrero Senior Holiday Luncheon

The Conley-Guerrero Senior Activity Center in East Austin will once again host its beloved holiday luncheon, a tradition that began 22 years ago with retired Austin firefighter Tim LaFuente. What started with Tim cooking the entire meal himself—at times serving more than 650 people—has grown into a community celebration supported by Meals on Wheels, sponsors, Austin Fire and the Austin Bomberos.

This year marks the return of the luncheon after a pause during the COVID-19 pandemic and following Tim’s retirement. With an expected crowd of 400–500 guests, the Bomberos remain committed to carrying on Tim’s legacy and ensuring seniors have a joyful place to gather, share a meal, and make memories.

For the Austin Bomberos, giving back is at the heart of who they are, and they look forward to keeping this tradition alive for many years to come.
