Forney is a small town about 20 miles east of Dallas with huge possibilities, still lately our leadership has lost sight of what citizens in our community really want-- accountability, transparency, and servant leadership that is worthy of this town.

My name is Sandi (with an "i") Primous, and I am running for mayor of Forney, Texas. The "i" in Sandi stands for Inspiration, because I believe that a core tenant of leadership is receiving inspiration from unlikely places, and giving inspiration when your neighbor needs help. Teachers inspire me, as well as city employees, social services personnel, medical professionals, and retail workers who stood on the front lines during this pandemic, uprooted their lives, and helped our community move forward. I am inspired by the blue collar workers and working parents in our community who struggle to pay the bills and put food on the tables during these unprecedented times.

What Forney needs most right now is a leader who is ready to channel that inspiration into positive change for our community. As a 20-year Army Combat Veteran, I can assure you that I will lead our community honorably just as I led 197 soldiers into a hostile combat zone in Iraq during the war on terrorism. My exemplary leadership coupled with my skill set of being a licensed social worker, will provide our city with endless possibilities. 

My campaign is about bringing inspiration, ingenuity, innovation, impactful management and huge improvements to a small-city with super-sized opportunities.

We can do this, but I need your help. Please assist in me getting the word out about our campaign, why I am running, and why now is the time for bold leadership in our community. To reach every single voter in Forney, it's going to take a lot of work (and a lot of money), but I am definitely up for the task. 

Campaigns are expensive-- we will have to pay for digital ads, yard signs, direct mail, t-shirts, campaign literature, and the most robust grassroots canvassing campaign that Forney has ever seen. Your donation will allow our movement to contact our voters and get them out to vote on May 1st. 

Here is a list to give you an idea of what your donation will help me purchase:

• A $50 donation will purchase 10 masks to protect our canvassers
• $75 will purchase 300 door hangers
• $100 will purchase 400 postcards
• $150 will purchase everything needed to write, sign, seal and deliver 225 hand-written letters

But also knowing that if none of those amounts are comfortable for you, any amount you donate will definitely make a difference. Even $10 or $20 will go a long way. If you are like me, the mismanagement you have seen at city, county, and state levels has been jaw-dropping. We must start here and NOW! Forney needs a leader from the private sector who understands how to manage teams, who will restore accountability and transparency in the budgeting process, and get our community back on track and open for business.
