My name is Daniel Ayala, and I am running for Vice-Chair of Finance and Re-election for President of Texas Environmental Democratic Caucus.

What does this mean and why is it important?

The Texas Democratic Party's Vice Chair for Finance shall have responsibilities for fundraising under the direction of the State Chair and shall have other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Chair or by the SDEC. This election will happen at the 2026 Democratic State Convention in Corpus Christi. Only registered delegates will be able to vote at convention. Regardless of whether you are a delegate or not, your support means the world to me.

I have 3 goals to accomplish as a state party officer:

• Improve Sustaining Donor Program
• Cultivate Major Donor relationships
• Revamp a Donor Ambassador initiative

What is my experience?

6 years fundraising experience for multiple organizations, non-profits, including my previous campaign for the largest electric cooperative in the US.

• Current President of the Texas Environmental Democratic Caucus (TED)
• Vice Chair for the Hays County Democratic County
• State Democratic Executive Committee (SDEC) since the 2022 State Convention in Dallas

Other experience includes:

• 2022 - 2024 SDEC Resolutions Committee Secretary
• 2024 - 2026 SDEC Resolutions Committee 2nd Vice Chair
• 2024 - 2026 SDEC Finance Committee appointee
