Don’t DOGE Our Austin is a coalition of progressive and labor organizations working to defeat Prop I on the November ballot.
Proposition I is another attempt by Save Austin Now to force their extremist and conservative agenda on our city. Prop I is a corporate giveaway to consultants that will handcuff the city and hurt delivery of core services that Austinites rely on, including social programs, parks, and public library funding.
The cost of Prop I is not yet known but is estimated to be in the millions of dollars. Proposition I’s ballot language incentivizes consultants to propose dangerous and unnecessary cuts to the Austin budget to pay for their own contracts – a clear conflict of interest.
