**Your Home Is Not the City's Piggy Bank!**

Mario Reyes is a lifelong Texan who has called Kyle home since 2007. He is running for Kyle City Council, District 3, the seat left open when Claudia Zapata resigned.

**Why Mario?**

As a federal Contracting Officer for 16 years, Mario negotiated and managed government contracts and held contractors to their commitments. That is exactly the experience Kyle needs to get its Capital Improvement Projects back on track.

Mario holds a B.S. in Finance from Dallas Baptist University. Before his federal career he owned a Mr. Gatti's franchise and managed restaurants, and today the Reyes family owns Results Weight Loss and Med Spa in Kyle and Buda. In 2017 he spent seven weeks, working with the SBA, helping families recover from Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. Mario and his wife Kelly of 43 years, live in Kyle with their three sons and seven grandchildren, with an eighth on the way.

Mario's plan for Kyle

**Today: Get Kyle's projects back on track.

Find out what is holding up each project, including the 2022 road bonds and the Vybe trail, hold contractors to their deadlines and budgets, and report progress publicly.

**Tomorrow: A reserve fund so homeowners aren't the first stop.

A Strategic Capital Reserve Fund, supported by qualifying large businesses coming into Kyle as state law allows, with the balance posted online and a three-fourths council vote required for withdrawals.

**For seniors: Freeze it at 65.

Freeze City of Kyle taxes at 65 and restore the senior exemption to $30,000 or more, so people who built their lives here can stay in their homes.

**Why your gift matters**

Early voting runs November 30 through December 8, and Election Day is Saturday, December 12. With a short special election, every dollar counts. Your contribution puts up yard signs, supports compaign materials and gets Mario out to meet neighbors across Kyle.
