Alicia Butler's message - Seven seats on the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals will be up for grabs in November 2026, and with Ken Paxton’s bid to grab even more power over the lives of Texans by packing the bench with his allies, the stakes are high. The Court of Criminal Appeals is our state’s highest court in criminal cases, and its decisions impact civil rights for all Texans. Join me in supporting Holly Taylor, a dear friend of mine and outstanding candidate for one of the spots. In 2024, in her first ever political campaign, Holly gained the support of over 4.5 million Texans in her bid to become presiding judge of the Court. She’s already out on the road meeting Texans all over the state to lay the groundwork for a successful campaign in 2026. I’ve known Holly Taylor for 30+ years — we met in law school and instantly connected over our shared background as students at Rice University. Holly is smart and kind and a person of great integrity and it would be a great benefit to disempowered people in our state to have her reasoned, principled voice weighing in on criminal justice. Help fund the November 2026 blue wave in Texas with your donation to her campaign!
