Anna Yelaun for Leander

Anna is a dedicated wife, mother, small business owner, and passionate community leader. She holds multiple post-graduate degrees, including an MBA, a Master’s in Geophysics, and a PhD in Finance. With over a decade of experience as a senior financial advisor, she honed her expertise in risk assessment, budgeting, forecasting, and business longevity. Recognizing the need for high-quality math education, she founded her own math academy and now serves as the Director of the Texas Region of Math Kangaroo USA, a prestigious international math competition.

Beyond her professional achievements, Anna is an active force in civic and community service. She currently serves as Vice Chair of Leander Wins and as a commissioner on several key committees, including Leander’s Public Art and Culture Committee, the Historical Preservation Committee, the Leander ISD Community Curriculum Advisory Committee, and the Leander ISD Community-Based Accountability System (CBAS) Committee. A proud member of the Leander Area Republican Women, she is dedicated to fostering education, preserving history, and strengthening community engagement.

With expertise spanning water source management, drilling processes, business operations, organization, time management, and leadership, Anna continues to be a driving force in both education and community development

My passions for supporting our children’s aspirations and helping them grow in their abilities, as well as my deep desires to improve our community through various projects such as my plan to create programs and facilities to develop a sense of community and safety, to foster economic growth and development and bring more professionals and jobs to Leander that will help build our community and expand opportunities for residents, and the need to help find a solution to our city’s water woes, have inspired me to seek the role for the City of Leander.”
