The general election day for this race has been set for Tuesday, November 6th, 2018. The Early Voting period is Monday, October 22^nd, 2018 - Friday, November 2^nd, 2018.  

 

Mr. Carter completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at Berea College and his Juris Doctorate at Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Texas Southern University.  Since moving to Fort Bend County in 2006, Mr. Carter has demonstrated a commitment to justice and service in the greater Fort Bend County area.  Immediately after graduating from law school, Mr. Carter began his career by representing the State of Texas against federal civil rights claims as an Assistant Attorney General with the Texas Office of the Attorney General in its Law Enforcement Defense Division. Mr. Carter then followed his passion for seeking justice and accepted a position as an assistant district attorney where he prosecuted misdemeanors, felonies, family violence, and juvenile cases for the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office.  Since 2007, he has been a solo practitioner at the Law Offices of Wilvin J. Carter P.C., where he protects individuals’ legal interests and civil rights in the areas of criminal defense and civil litigation.
