Geronimo expects every child to graduate high school college, career, and life ready. He was appointed to the AISD Board of Trustees on June 12, 2017, to represent District 6 and was elected Vice President by his fellow trustees on June 26, 2017.  He was elected President by his fellow trustees on May 21, 2018.

Geronimo has served on several local and national boards, including the National Parent Teacher (PTA) Association and the AISD Bond Advisory Committees. He has also served as Chair of the Board of Directors for Leadership Austin and the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. 

Geronimo earned a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from St. Edward’s University and a doctor of jurisprudence from the University of Texas School of Law.

Geronimo grew up in Alamo, TX, and as a migrant farmworker, harvesting crops in Washington and Oregon. In October 2018, he will be headed to Hermiston, Oregon to help his parents harvest potatoes for a week.
