Previously a Senior Vice President with CBRE, Krista worked for over a decade as a commercial real estate appraiser specializing in the Austin housing market, with additional experience analyzing the impact of road, transportation, and utilities projects on real estate values.
Austin’s District 6 fundamentals post-redistricting favor Krista Laine, and she is also leveraging a formidable grassroots network developed during landslide victories in nonpartisan campaigns in support of Round Rock ISD schools – which serve over 90% of District 6.

● Held the MAI designation (Member of the Appraisal Institute) and was a Texas Certified General Appraiser
● Appraised properties ranging from downtown residential towers to suburban apartments, single-family subdivisions, re-development projects, and land for development
● Analyzed how changes in zoning, transportation, utilities, and supply/ demand factors impacted property value and development potential
● Served on the board of the Austin Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and was a member of the Austin Chapter of the International Right of Way Association (IRWA) and Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW)
