Frequently Asked Questions

Many other online fundraising websites charge 7.9% or more of what you collect. And to make it worse, they can take up to 2 weeks to deposit your money into your account. We were determined to find a better solution. We’re incredibly proud to offer DonateWay with lower fees, quicker deposit turnaround, and easy to make online forms.
After you sign up, you will receive a welcome email to activate your email. Then, you can log into your DonateWay account, and we’ll help you easily get set up to accept credit cards using Stripe (our payment processor).
Our merchant partner Stripe will need the following information to set up your Stripe account: your organization’s EIN, address, website (if you don’t have one yet, you can use your DonateWay fundraising page url), and the responsible person’s name, date of birth and last 4 SSN numbers. That’s about it!
You can create your fundraising pages as soon as you sign up and receive your welcome email from DonateWay. But remember, your account is not active until you complete and connect your Stripe account.
To cancel your DonateWay account, email us at cancel@donateway.com. To cancel your Stripe account, click here for instructions; https://support.stripe.com/questions/how-can-i-close-my-stripe-account. But remember, there are no fees to keep your DonateWay or Stripe accounts open, so we recommend you stay with us in case you’d like to use your DonateWay forms in the future!

There are several ways to access the donations you have received: On Step 4 of setting up your donation page, you can create an email notification to come to you each time a donation is made. Or, on your homepage, click on "Donors" on the top right corner of the screen. Last, on your homepage, click on "Amount Raised" underneath the fundraising page name to see a list of donations for that page.

Stripe has many helpful reports.
